Sight Seeing

Whether you're traveling far and wide this Summer or staying close to home, we've got lots of great travel cut files available in The Cut Shoppe!  Today, I wanted to work with the new Any Which Way background cut file.  This cut file is great for all of your travel layouts, but can definitely be used for a wide variety of layouts.

I wanted to try something a little bit different with this cut file, so I decided to back it with Vellum and layer it over a patterned paper background.  You could definitely back each of the arrows with different patterned papers, use it as a stencil or paint it with watercolors or spray mist.  I love having lots of different options when I'm using a cut file.  I added just a bit of adhesive to a few spots on the back of the cut file, and then I machine stitched around the arrows on every other row.  I love having the added texture in the background.

Once the arrows were stitched, I added four photos and mixed in several different Thickers to add travel phrases next to each photo.  It's not often, that you will see four photos on one of my layouts, but I thought this was a great way to include photos that were taken, while we were sight seeing in Downtown Cleveland.

So how about a little traveling right now, right from where you are!  You can head over to The Cut Shoppe and check out the Any Which Way background cut file, that's available in 8.5x11 and 12x12 size.  You'll also find two other new sets while you're there!
